Bermudez comes back to Atenienses

Angelica Bermudez

Atenienses de Manatee (BSNF) inked 28-year old Puerto Rican international center Angelica Bermudez (185-89, college: Kean, agency: Gamble Sports Management). It is actually her comeback to Atenienses as she has played here before. Bermudez has a double citizenship as she also holds American passport. Bermudez played most recently at Politehnica Iasi in Romanian Liga Nationala, but left. In 6 games she recorded 8.7ppg, 8.8rpg and 1.5spg last season.
Among other achievements Bermudez's team was regular season runner-up in Puerto Rican BSNF in 2015. She was selected to Puerto Rican BSNF All-Star Game in 2015.
Bermudez also represented Puerto Rico at the Centrobasket in St. Thomas (Virgin Islands) this year. Her team won Bronze and her stats at that event were 5 games: 1.8ppg, 3.0rpg.
Bermudez is a very experienced player. She has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Bermudez has played previously professionally in Mexico (Huastecas), Qatar (QLC Qatars Ladies Club), Puerto Rico (Leonas and Athleticas) and Egypt (Al Ahly).
Worth to mention she played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped her to get the job in pro basketball.
She attended Kean University until 2011 and it will be her seventh season in pro basketball.
