Shooting guard Ismael Cruz (190-SG-2000, college: Indian Hills) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 34 points he had in the Puerto Rican league. Cruz graduated from Indian Hills Community College in 2021. Despite his strong performance, his team the Osos lost to the Criollos 103 to 110. He also grabbed 6 assists that game. Cruz is the 3rd best scorer in the league averaging almost 21 points and almost 4 assists per game. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe Latin America and of course North America), in five different countries. Among many awards he won the Nicaraguan LSB championship title in 2022 and 2024. He was also selected as the Latinbasket All-Nicaraguan LSB Import Player of the Year as well as the All-Nicaraguan LSB First Team back in 2022. Cruz was also selected to the Latinbasket All-Nicaraguan LSB Second Team in 2024. He was selected to the Latinbasket Puerto Rican BSN All-Rookie Team back in 2021.
