Atenienses de Manati are BSNF champions - Oct 29, 2019


Santurce - Manati 68:80

Atenienses de Manati claimed BSNF title. They rallied past Santurce in the fourth game of the title series to complete the sweep. Kathryn Westbeld (188-F, college: Notre Dame) produced 23 points to lead the champions.
Manati posted a 19:8 lead after the opening quarter. Santurce narrowed the distance in the second frame. They pulled within 9 points at the big break 28:37. Manati however regained control in the third period. They sank 24 points to boost the lead to as many as 14 points. Santurce poured in 21 points in the fourth period but could not avoid the loss. Deanna Kuzmanic (175-G-96, college: UAB) finished with 19 points for Manati. Dayshalee Salaman (163-PG-90, college: Lincoln Memorial) answered with game-high 27 points and 8 rebounds for Santurce. Tierra Henderson (178-G-87, college: UCLA) had 16 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
