BSN Finals, Game 7: Arecibo takes the crown from Bayamon! - Jul 4, 2010

Capitanes - Bayamon
73-62
The Arecibo Capitanes won the BSN title for season 2010. Arecibo was better than Bayamon in Game Seven of the Playoff Finals grabbing the title after four years. Last time they made it in 2005. Bayamon was the host of this crucial meeting, but despite that Arecibo played good and took the crown in Puerto Rico. Larry Ayuso (190-G-77, agency: Global Sports Plaza, college: USC) was the top-scorer of this game with 23 points. Danilo Pinnock (196-G-83, agency: SportsTalent, college: George Washington) added 21 points and 5 rebounds, while Guillermo Diaz (188-G-85, college: Miami (FL)) (10 rebs, 5 as) and Daniel Santiago (216-C-76, agency: Priority Sports, college: N.Mexico) helped with 11 points each. In the loosing squad, Christian Dalmau (194-G-77, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Daytona Beach CC) replied with 22 pts and 5 boards. Carmelo Lee (201-F-77, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: Long Beach St.) had 11 pts in this game. The Arecibo Capitanes opened the game better making 22-19 lead after ten minutes of play. Second quarter was the crucial one last night as Larry Ayuso and his teammates totally took control on their rivals. They limited Bayamon players to 12 points for 10 minutes, while netting 21 on the other side for comfortable 43-31 lead at the half time. That was too much for Bayamon, who was not able to reply for rest of the way. Third quarter was tied as each team scored 19 pts, while in the last ten minutes Arecibo managed to keep its lead, despite Baymon finished Q4 with 11-12. Last season it was Bayamon who won the BSN title.
