American Power forward Malik Williams (211-F/C-1998) put on an amazing game in the last week for Mets de Guaynabo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 27.
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 34 points and 15 rebounds, while his team beat Quebradillas (#6, 9-22) 114-101. Mets maintains the 5th position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. Guaynabo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-17 record. In the team's last game Williams had a remarkable 90.9% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He just recently signed at Mets, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Louisville star has very solid stats this year. Williams is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 9.8rpg) and averages impressive 1.5bpg and 88.9% FGP.

The second best player in last week's games was young American Kenneth Faried (203-F-1989) of Cangrejeros de Santurce. Faried had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Cangrejeros to edge slightly higher-ranked Carolina (#3, 17-14) 96-95. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group B. Santurce consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team's 17-15 record is not bad at all. Faried is one of the most experienced players at Santurce and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last week was another Guaynabo's star - American guard Max Abmas (183-PG-2001). Abmas scored 20 points and passed 14 assists (!!!). He was another key player of Mets de Guaynabo, helping his team with a 114-101 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Quebradillas (#6, 9-22). The chances of Mets ranking at the top of Group A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 17 games, recording just fourteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Abmas could help Guaynabo to bring them higher in the standings. Abmas has a very solid season. In 10 games in Puerto Rico he scored 15.9ppg. He also has 5.4apg and a FGP of 60.7%.
