Jezreel De Jesus gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSN (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced International Guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-G-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Leones de Ponce and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 28.
The 34-year old guard had the game-high 43 points adding two rebounds and five assists for Ponce in his team's victory, helping them to beat Aguada (#3, 16-17) 109-95. Leones maintains the 4th position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. Ponce is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-18 record. In the team's last game De Jesus had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He just recently signed at Leones, being already a very valuable addition to the team. De Jesus has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.0ppg) and averages solid 56.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American center Montrezl Harrell (203-C-1994) of league's best team Atleticos de San German. Harrell impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for Atleticos to edge slightly lower-ranked Arecibo (#2, 16-14) by 2 points 98-96. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. San German consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team has currently 21-13 record. Harrell is one of the most experienced players at San German and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last week was New Zealand Tyrell Harrison (214-C-1999) of Indios de Mayaguez (#5). Harrison scored 26 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Indios, leading his team to a 88-85 win against slightly higher-ranked Carolina (#4, 18-15). The chances of Mayaguez not to end season at such low position in Group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 21 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Harrison could try to bring Mayaguez's a little bit higher in the standings. Harrison has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After 23 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.6ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 9.6rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 66.3%.
