30-year old American forward Scottie James Jr. (202-F-1996) had a great game in the last week for Gigantes de Carolina and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 29.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Guaynabo (#6, 14-20) 111-96. Gigantes maintains the 4th position in their group in the Puerto Rican league. Carolina is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 18-16 record. In the team's last game James Jr. had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He has many years of experience at Gigantes, through which he has constantly improved. Scottie James Jr. averages this season 11.6ppg and 6.6rpg.

Second best performed player last week was Kristian Doolittle (201-F-1997, agency: Pensack Sports) of Osos de Manati. He is American forward in his first season at Manati. In the last game Doolittle recorded an impressive triple-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course he led Osos to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Carolina (#4, 18-16) 123-85. This victory allowed Manati to move up to 5th position in Group B. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 15-19 record. Doolittle is one of the most experienced players at Manati and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.8ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 8.4rpg and 4.4apg.

Third place about best performers goes to another Manati's star - Jonathan Rodriguez (196-SF-1987). Rodriguez scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Osos de Manati, helping his team with a 123-85 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Carolina (#4, 18-16). The chances of Osos ranking at the top of Group B, however are very questionable as they have already lost 19 games, recording just fifteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Rodriguez could help Manati to bring them higher in the standings. Rodriguez has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 30 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 0.8apg (8th best). Jonathan Rodriguez has also Puerto Rican passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
