Michael
Rosario
28-year old shooting guard Michael Rosario (190-SG-90) put on an amazing game in the last week for second-ranked Quebradillas and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for week 17.
He had the game-high 36 points adding four rebounds and two assists for Quebradillas in his team's victory, helping them to beat San German (#7, 9-14) 91-76. Quebradillas maintains the 2nd position in Puerto Rican league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Quebradillas will need more victories to improve their 15-9 record. In the team's last game Rosario had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range and got eight three-pointers out of 14 attempts. He has many years of experience at Quebradillas, through which he has constantly improved. Michael Rosario averages this season 12.8ppg.

Second best performed player last week was Ismael Romero (203-C-91) of top-ranked Bayamon. He is Cuban center in his first season at Bayamon. In the last game Romero recorded impressive double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Bayamon was edged by slightly lower-ranked Fajardo (#3, 13-12) 103-100. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Bayamon still maintains its place as the top team in the standings, even despite this loss. His team has currently 18-7 record. Romero is one of the most experienced players at Bayamon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kyle Vinales (185-G-92) of Humacao (#8). Vinales got into 30-points club by scoring 39 points in the last week. He went also for four assists. Despite Vinales' great performance Humacao lost 87-97 to the higher-ranked Aguada (#5, 10-13). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Humacao not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 15 games, recording just eight victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Vinales could try to bring Humacao's a little bit higher in the standings. Vinales has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.4ppg (2nd best). Kyle Vinales has also Puerto Rican passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
