RAMON CLEMENTE

LNBP newcomer Lenadores de Durango added to their roster 32-year old Puerto Rican international power forward Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita State). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Clemente played last summer at Vaqueros de Bayamon in Puerto Rican BSN league. In 29 games he recorded 9.2ppg and 4.6rpg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Puerto Rican BSN All-Star Game. The last season Clemente played at Olimpico de La Banda (LigaA) in league where in 42 games he averaged 12.8ppg, 7.1rpg, 1.9apg and 1.0spg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Clemente won Puerto Rican BSN championship title in 2012. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Centrobasket 2nd Team in 2016.
Clemente represented Puerto Rico at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) this year. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 4 games: 7.3ppg, 3.5rpg, FGP: 60.0%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 72.7%.
Clemente is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in four different countries. Clemente tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally also in Israel (Ironi Nahariya, Maccabi Ashdod and Hapoel Yokneam/Megido), Italy and Argentina (Ferrocarril).
Clemente attended Wichita State until 2009 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
On Clemente: A powerful inside player who can spend time in both 4 and 5 positions.

BSN Round 4: Piratas edge Brujos by three points - 2 days ago
There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games, games ending by tiny margin and even winless team recording their first victory. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most exciting game of round 4 in the BSN took place in Guayama. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 6th ranked Brujos (2-5) to first ranked Piratas (6-1) 89-86 on Thursday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The g...   [read more]

David Huertas selected the top Puerto Rican playing abroad in last week's games - 3 days ago
We bring you last week's top performances from Puerto Ricans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. This week's number one is an international swingman David Huertas (195-87). He could not help Fuerza Regia (31-9) in their last game. Despite Huertas' very good performance the first-placed Fuerza Regia (31-9) was edged 85-84 on the road by the lower-ranked (#3) Lenadores in the North group.    [read more]
