GARY BROWNE
We bring you last week's top performances from Puerto Ricans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Gary Browne
Gary Browne
#1. This week's number one is an international guard Gary Browne (185-93, college: W.Virginia, currently plays in Israel). He led Ironi Nes-Ziona to a victory over the league outsider Maccabi Rishon (0-1) 90-84 in the Israeli Winner League in Sunday night's game. Browne was MVP of the game. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds. Browne also added 6 assists in 36 minutes on the court. It was his first game for Ironi Nes-Ziona this season. His team is placed fifth in the Winner League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Browne has a dual citizenship: Puerto Rican and American. He is currently a member of the Puerto Rican senior national team. Browne used to play for Coamo in Puerto Rican league.

Alexander Abreu
Alexander Abreu
#2. Second place goes to an international point guard Alexander Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia, currently plays in France). Abreu contributed to an easy victory against one of league's weakest teams Cholet Basket (0-4) 94-79 in the French ProA on Friday night. He had a double-double by scoring 14 points and making 10 passes in 32 minutes. Champagne Chalons-Reims Basket (3-1) is placed fourth in the ProA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. It's Abreu's first year with the team. This season Abreu averages: 8.7ppg, 2.7rpg, 5.0apg, 2.0spg, 2FGP: 44.4% in three games he played so far. Former Coamo starter played for the Puerto Rican national team in 2017.

Wil Martinez
Wil Martinez
#3. The Puerto Rican player who performed third best last week abroad was former U18 international shooting guard Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St., currently plays in Panama).
