Ricardo Sanchez
Ricardo Sanchez
#1. This week's number one is an international power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87, currently plays in Brazil). He was the major contributor in Brasilia's victory against the closely-ranked Botafogo F.R. (4-4) 82-64 in the Brazilian NBB in Wednesday night's game. Sanchez scored 18 points and added 5 assists in 28 minutes on the court. Universo/Caixa/Brasilia (8-8) is placed sixth in the NBB. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Sanchez averages: 8.9ppg, 3.4rpg, 1.9apg, 2FGP: 38.1%, 3FGP: 39.3% and FT: 92.9% in seven games he played so far. He recorded 27 points (!!!) and grabbed 5 rebounds. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (8-4) is placed second in North group. But the season just started, so everything may happen. It's Huertas' first year with the team. Huertas has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 18.6ppg, 3.4rpg, 3.8apg, 2FGP: 43.1% and FT: 81.0%.
