ALEXANDER GALINDO

Boca Juniors (La Liga) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old Puerto Rican ex-international power forward Alexander Galindo (200-85, college: FIU). He played in the summer at Vaqueros de Bayamon in Puerto Rican BSN league. Galindo managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 50 BSN games he recorded 6.4ppg and 1.3rpg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Galindo also played for Capitanes in Puerto Rican league that season where in three Liga Americas games he averaged 10.7ppg and 1.3rpg.
Among other achievements he received Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay LUB Forward of the Year award back in 2010.
Galindo was also a member of Puerto Rican international program for some years. He played for Puerto Rican Senior National Team two years ago and previously for U21 National Team between 2004 and 2005.
Galindo also represented Puerto Rico at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) two years ago. His team won Gold and his stats at that event were 6 games: 7.8ppg, 1.8rpg, FGP: 44.4%, 3PT: 48.0%, FT: 42.9%.
Galindo is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Chile (Puerto Montt), Venezuela, Puerto Rico (Gallitos, Brujos, Cangrejeros and Indios), Argentina (Libertad Sunchales and Olimpico de La Banda), Uruguay (Olimpia and Malvin) and Panama (Correcaminos).
Galindo attended Florida International University until 2009 and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: Has a great feel, makes shots and passes well.
A very versatile player who can spend time both in 2 and in 3 positions. Had a very good shooting touch and a great feeling for the game
