JOSE JUAN BAREA
Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Puerto Ricans who are currently playing abroad.

Jose Juan Barea
Jose Juan Barea
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international point guard Jose Juan Barea (183-84, college: Northeastern, currently plays in NBA). He was the major contributor in a Dallas Mavericks' victory against the Los Angeles Clippers (16-8) 114-110 in the NBA in Sunday night's game. Barea scored 24 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 4 assists (was perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line) in 27 minutes on the court. The Dallas Mavericks have 12-11 record this season. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. It's Barea's fifth year with the team. He has individually a very good season with high stats. Barea averages: 11.5ppg, 2.4rpg, 5.7apg, 2FGP: 49.4%, 3FGP: 29.4% in 22 games he played so far. He is currently a member of the Puerto Rican senior national team.

David Huertas
David Huertas
#2. Second place goes to an international swingman David Huertas (195-87, college: Mississippi, currently plays in Mexico). Huertas led Fuerza Regia to a victory against the sixth-ranked Libertadores (6-10) 85-74 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Thursday. He recorded 22 points and added 3 assists. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (12-5) is placed second in North group. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. This season Huertas has very high stats. He averages: 18.4ppg, 3.5rpg, 3.7apg, 2FGP: 46.0%, 3FGP: 38.5% and FT: 77.1%. Huertas is in the roster of the Puerto Rican senior national team.

He could not help Brasilia (2-8) to beat SKY/Basquete (4-8). Sanchez scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds in 32 minutes. But the bottom-ranked Brasilia lost 63-76 on the road to the higher-ranked (#11) SKY/Basquete. It's Sanchez's first season with the team. This year his overall stats are: 8.8ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.0apg, 2FGP: 38.7%, 3FGP: 42.5% and FT: 92.9% in 10 games.
