RAMON CLEMENTE

Defending champion San Lorenzo de Almagra (La Liga) strengthened their roster with addition of 33-year old Puerto Rican international power forward Ramon Clemente (200-85, college: Wichita State). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. Clemente played recently at Lenadores in Mexican LNBP. The last summer he played at Vaqueros (BSN) in Puerto Rican league where in 29 games he recorded 9.2ppg and 4.6rpg. Clemente helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Great season indeed as he was voted to Puerto Rican BSN All-Star Game.
Among other achievements he won Puerto Rican BSN championship title in 2012. Clemente received also Latinbasket.com All-Centrobasket 2nd Team award back in 2016.
He represented Puerto Rico at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) last year. Clemente's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 4 games: 7.3ppg, 3.5rpg, FGP: 60.0%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 72.7%.
Clemente is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in four different countries. Clemente has played previously professionally in Israel (Ironi Nahariya, Maccabi Ashdod and Hapoel Yokneam/Megido), Italy, Argentina (Ferro and Olimpico de La Banda) and Puerto Rico (Mayaguez and Indios).
He attended Wichita State until 2009 and it is his tenth season in pro basketball.
The scouts decsribe him following way: A powerful inside player who can spend time in both 4 and 5 positions.

BSN Round 8: Cariduros defeat leader Piratas - 14 hours ago
The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Piratas (12-6) in Fajardo on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by fifth ranked Cariduros (10-8) 84-75. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Piratas. The hosts took control from the first minutes by...   [read more]

Maurice Harkless selected the top Puerto Rican playing abroad in last week's games - 1 day ago
Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Puerto Ricans who are currently playing abroad. Experienced Walter Hodge (183-PG-86) could not help Homentmen (12-4) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Homentmen lost 72-76 in a derby game to the lower-ranked (#4) Beirut Club.    [read more]

STEDMON LEMON American Stedmon Lemon (198-F-92) put on an amazing game in the last week for league's leader Aguada and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for week 7. The 26-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Aguada in his team's victory, helping them to beat Ponce (#4, 8-5) 95-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Aguada to jump to the first place in the Puerto Rican...   [read more]
