Victor Rudd
VICTOR RUDD

27-year old forward Victor Rudd (205-F-91) put on an amazing game in the last week for league's best team Arecibo and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for week 2.
He had a double-double of 40 points and 10 rebounds, while his team edged out San German (#9, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-91. It allowed Arecibo to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Arecibo has a very solid 3-1 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Rudd had a remarkable 61.5% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 10 attempts. He just recently signed at Arecibo, being already a very valuable addition to the team. University of South Florida graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rudd is in league's top in points (2nd best: 24.3ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.0rpg) and averages solid 60.5% FGP and 52.2% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last week was Devon Collier (203-PF-91) of Mayaguez. He is naturalized American forward in his first season at Mayaguez. In the last game Collier recorded impressive 17 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course he led Mayaguez to another comfortable win 95-81 over San German (0-3) being unquestionably team leader. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next week. Collier is one of the most experienced players at Mayaguez and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Gerardo Suero (196-G-89) of league's second-best Fajardo. Suero scored 28 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Fajardo, leading his team to a 95-93 win against Guayama (#8, 0-2). Fajardo has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Suero also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Suero has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.5ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Will Martinez (196-G-92) of Mayaguez - 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
5. David Laury (206-F/C-90) of Guayama - 18 points and 16 rebounds
6. Chane Behanan (198-F-92) of San German - 28 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Brice Johnson (206-F-94) of Mayaguez - 18 points, 14 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Jezreel De Jesus (185-G-91) of Mayaguez - 21 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Trey Gilder (206-PF-85) of Arecibo - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Tai Wesley (201-F-86) of Guayama - 19 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
