CHANE BEHANAN

American Chane Behanan (198-F-92) had a great game in the last week for San German and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for week 4.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 23 points adding five rebounds and eight assists for San German in his team's victory, helping them to edge out Mayaguez (#7, 2-4) 110-107. San German maintains the 9th position in Puerto Rican BSN. The season is in a full swing, so it's only a dream for the team to make it into top half of the standings. For contrary they may face relegation if the situation turns from bad to worse. San German have already lost 7 games and recorded just two victories. Behanan just recently signed at San German, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Chane Behanan averages this season 13.7ppg and 5.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was 27-year old American center Greg Smith (208-C-91) of Bayamon. Smith impressed basketball fans with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Bayamon cruised to a 101-92 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked San German (#9, 2-7). This victory allowed Bayamon to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 2-4 record. Smith is one of the most experienced players at Bayamon and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.3ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 8.0rpg and 3.5apg.

The third best performed player last week was American forward Devon Collier (203-PF-91) of Mayaguez (#7). Collier scored 19 points and grabbed sixteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Collier's great performance Mayaguez lost 91-97 to the higher-ranked Arecibo (#2, 5-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mayaguez not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Collier could try to bring Mayaguez's a little bit higher in the standings. Collier has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.8rpg (3rd best). Devon Collier has also Puerto Rican passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Benito Santiago (198-F-89) of Bayamon - 38 points and 4 assists
5. Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-F-90) of Arecibo - 21 points and 12 rebounds
6. Denis Clemente (183-PG-86) of Arecibo - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
7. David Laury (206-F/C-90) of Guayama - 23 points and 10 rebounds
8. Malcolm Rhett (206-PF-92) of Mayaguez - 19 points and 10 rebounds
9. Nick Minnerath (207-PF-88) of Ponce - 29 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Evander Ortiz (178-G-97) of Fajardo - 21 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
