JAVIER MOJICA

Vaqueros de Bayamon (BSN) signed experienced 34-year old Puerto Rican international shooting guard Javier Mojica (190-82kg-84, college: CCSU). It is actually his comeback to Vaqueros as he has played here before. Mojica is a dual citizen owning also American passport. He just played at Lenadores in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 40 games he had very impressive stats: 17.9ppg, 5.3rpg, 3.2apg and 1.6spg this season. Great year as he was named to Mexican LNBP All-Star Game and League Player of the Week (2 times). This summer Mojica was tested by Vaqueros.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Puerto Rican BSN Regular Season in 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2018. Mojica was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Puerto Rican BSN Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.
He represented Puerto Rico at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla (Colombia) last year. Mojica's team won Gold and his stats at that event were 4 games: 9.0ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 52.9%, 3PT: 26.1%.
Mojica is quite experienced player. He has played in eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Mojica has played previously professionally also in Argentina (Quimsa), Belgium (Oostende), Poland (AZS Koszalin), Romania, Uruguay (Defensor), Venezuela and Puerto Rico (Cangrejeros and Piratas) and Mexico (Panteras and Jefes).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Bayamon.
Mojica attended Central Connecticut State University until 2007 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
He could be described: An athletic SG who konws how to score, but is undersized for the position. Very good 3pts shooter, at the defensive side he is very active, compensating his lack of size with quickness of feet and arms.

Quebradillas - Arecibo 92-84 Quebradillas outscored Arecibo to advance into BSN semifinals. GABRIEL BELARDO Toros de Aragua (LPB) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American guard Gabriel Belardo (188-82kg-89, college: FIU).
