STEDMON LEMON

American Stedmon Lemon (198-F-92) put on an amazing game in the last week for league's leader Aguada and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for week 7.
The 26-year old forward had the game-high 27 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Aguada in his team's victory, helping them to beat Ponce (#4, 8-5) 95-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Aguada to jump to the first place in the Puerto Rican BSN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Aguada has a very solid 11-6 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Lemon had a remarkable 100.0% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Aguada, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Stedmon Lemon averages this season 11.3ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was 28-year old American forward Eugene Phelps (198-F-90) of San German. Phelps impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds. It was enough for San German to edge the higher-ranked Ponce (#4, 8-5) by 6 points 99-93. San German's 7th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-11 record. Phelps is one of the most experienced players at San German and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last week was former international guard Jezreel De Jesus (185-G-91, agency: Interperformances) of Mayaguez (#9). De Jesus got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last week. He went also for five assists. Despite De Jesus' great performance Mayaguez lost 98-106 to the higher-ranked Fajardo (#5, 8-8). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mayaguez not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, De Jesus could try to bring Mayaguez's a little bit higher in the standings. De Jesus has a very solid season. In 14 games in Puerto Rico he scored 18.6ppg. He also has 3.9apg and FGP: 55.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Juan Miguel Suero (198-PG-93) of Fajardo - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Greg Smith (208-C-91) of Bayamon - 17 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Robert Glenn (203-PF-88) of Fajardo - 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Isaac Sosa Carrion (190-G-90) of San German - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists
8. Joseph Jones (206-C/F-86) of Aguada - 19 points and 9 rebounds
9. Tai Wesley (201-F-86) of Guayama - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Brian Conklin (201-F-89) of Quebradillas - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
