Guaynabo makes it ten franchises for 2020

Mets de Guaynabo were officially announced as the tenth BSN franchise for the 2020 BSN season that is scheduled to start on February 29.

Guaynabo, led by Marc Grossman and Mark Linder, enter the league under expansion rules which includes an entry fee of $250,000 dollars. As part of their expansion benefits Guaynabo can have three imports and the eleventh pick of the first round and the first pick of the second round of the rookie draft. The new team announced that NBA legend Charles Oakley is going to be one of the spokespersons for the team and their first move in the front office was the signing of Alfredo Morales.

Their first additions to the roster are Miguel Ali Berdiel (198-G-83, college: Valpo) (Guayama), Alvin Cruz (Ponce), Weyinmi Rose (Ponce) and Tyquan Rolon (Aguada) via the expansion draft. Forward Angel Alamo was signed from free agency and they are expected to announce more signings soon. Also, the team signed a new head coach that is expected to be announced soon.
