Terrence Jones agreed terms with Mayaguez

Indios de Mayaguez (BSN) strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American 206cm power forward Terrence Jones (college: Kentucky). Jones played recently at Grand Rapids Gold (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 11 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.7apg and 1.8bpg last season. He also spent pre-season at Prometey (Superleague) in Ukrainian league.
In 2012 (2012 years after he left the college) he was drafted by ? Houston Rockets (NBA) in first round (18th overall). Jones attended University of Kentucky and it will be his tenth season in pro basketball.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in five different countries. Jones has played previously professionally in China (Eagles), Philippines (TNT Ka Tropa), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans and Milwaukee Bucks), NBA G League (Santa Cruz Warriors, Rio Grande Valley Vipers and College Park SkyHawks) and Puerto Rico (Mets).

Jones is a versatile threat who can score in different ways and has the skill set to play in many types of schemes He is a big threat as a face-up PF, as he has the handle and athleticism to give many bigger PF off the dribble and put pressure on the D Looks real fluid athletically, which is impressive for his size Very good finisher around the rim, and makes good use of his 7'2 wingspan and nice reactive athletic ability.
