Kelley signs at Al Ahli

Shae Kelley

Al Ahli (D1) has confirmed the addition of 32-year-old American forward Shae Kelley (185cm-1991, college: Minnesota) to their roster

Last summer, she played for Atenienses in the Puerto Rican BSNF league, where she averaged 14.2 points per game, 8.6 rpg, 4.0 apg, and 2.1 spg in 25 games. Her performance in the 2023-23 season earned her a spot in the Puerto Rican BSNF All-Star Game.

In 2015, she was drafted by the Minnesota Lynx in the third round (35th overall) of the WNBA.

She graduated from the University of Minnesota, and this is her ninth season in professional basketball.
She is a highly experienced player, having played in nine different countries across four continents: Europe, Latin America, Africa, and North America. Her professional career includes stints in France (Flammes), Israel (Ramat Hasharon, Elitzur Holon, and Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion), Italy (San Martino), Poland (Torun), Puerto Rico (Montaneras), Romania (ASC Sepsi SIC Sfantu Gheorghe), Spain (Ferrol), Turkey (Bornova), and Egypt (Al Ahly and Somouha).

In 2023, she achieved great success in Egypt, winning both the Egyptian League championship title and the cup.

The list of past achievements is extensive. In 2021, she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Defensive Player of the Year. She has also played for other colleges such as Old Dominion University and the University of Colorado.
