Indios de Mayaguez (BSN) added 35-year old American center Deon Thompson (college: UNC, agency: Slash Sports) for season 2024. Thompson played recently at Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano in Japanese B1 League. In 42 games he recorded 11.4ppg, 8.3rpg and 1.9apg.

Thompson replaces Willie Cauley-Stein who was released in the preseason.

He previously played in BSN for Ponce averaging 15.2 points and 6.3 rebounds.

The team expects him to join them later this week. The season starts on April 3.
