Experienced American Travis Trice II (183-PG-1993) had an amazing evening in the last week for league's leader Criollos de Caguas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 21.
The 30-year old playmaker got a double-double of 24 points and 14 assists, while his team edged out Santurce (#4, 10-9) 87-83. It allowed Criollos to jump to the first place in the Puerto Rican BSN. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Caguas has a very solid 12-8 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Trice II just recently signed at Criollos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Michigan State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Trice II is in league's top in points (3rd best: 20.8ppg) and averages solid 51.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American Alize Johnson (206-SF-1996) of Atleticos de San German. Johnson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 19 rebounds. Of course Atleticos cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over slightly higher-ranked Mayaguez (#2, 12-10). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. San German consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 10-14 record. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at San German and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last week was South Sudanese Wenyen Gabriel (208-C-1997) of Vaqueros de Bayamon (#6). Gabriel scored 17 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Vaqueros, leading his team to a 75-63 win against slightly higher-ranked Ponce (#6, 8-11). The chances of Bayamon not to end season at such low position in Group A, however are less than slim as they have already lost 14 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Gabriel could try to bring Bayamon's a little bit higher in the standings. Gabriel has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.5rpg (7th best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 62.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Kristian Doolittle (201-F-1997) of Bayamon - 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Jared Sullinger (206-C-1992) of Santurce - 14 points, 16 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Angel Matias (194-F-1992) of Santurce - 18 points and 10 rebounds
7. Milton Doyle (193-SG-1993) of Mayaguez - 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Emmanuel Mudiay (196-PG-1996) of Quebradillas - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Brandon Goodwin (188-SG-1995) of Carolina - 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
