Gian Clavell agreed terms with Granada

Coviran Granada (Liga Endesa) strengthened their roster with the addition of 30-year-old Puerto Rican international 193cm point guard Gian Clavell (college: Colorado State, agency: Octagon Europe) for the 2024-25 season. He played most recently for Piratas de Quebradillas in the Puerto Rican BSN league. In 16 games he played, he recorded 12.0ppg, 3.0rpg, 3.6apg, and 1.2spg last season. During the last season, he played for Prometey (Lat-Est BL) in the Ukrainian league. He also played 11 games in Eurocup, where he averaged 11.4ppg, 1.7rpg, 2.1apg, and 1.1spg. Clavell helped them reach the quarterfinals.
He represented Puerto Rico at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in San Juan (Puerto Rico) this year. His team won Gold and he had over 4 points per game.
Clavell, a very experienced player, has played professionally in nine different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America, and North America). He has played for teams in Greece, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, the NBA, Spain, NBA G League, and NBA Summer League. In 2024, Clavell's team was the regular season runner-up in the Latvian-Estonian Basketball League.
Among many awards, he was named to the Eurobasket.com Latvian-Estonian Basketball League All-Tournament Team and was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention in 2023.
Clavell graduated from Colorado State in 2017 and it'll be his 8th season in pro basketball. He played also for Northwest Kansas Technical College for 2 years.
