Pamela Rosado gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSNF (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced International Point guard Pamela Rosado (165-PG-1986) had an amazing evening in the last week for league's leader Montaneras de Morovis and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 1.
The 38-year old playmaker had the game-high 39 points adding four rebounds and six assists for Morovis in her team's victory, helping them to beat Lares (#9, 0-3), the league's bottom-ranked team 92-86. It allowed Montaneras to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSNF. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Morovis won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next week. In the team's last game Rosado had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range and got six three-pointers out of 8 attempts. She has many years of experience at Montaneras, through which she has constantly improved. Rosado has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 24.0ppg), assists (7th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 3.5spg,52.9% FGP and 54.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American forward Alexis Jennings (190-F-1996) of Explosivos de Moca. Jennings impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Moca was edged by Isabela (1-0) 96-94. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next week. Jennings is one of the most experienced players at Moca and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.5ppg (#1). She also registered 10.5 boards per game.

The third best performed player last week was American Daja Woodard (190-F) of Patriotas de Lares (#9). Woodard got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last week. She went also for fifteen rebounds . Despite Woodard's great performance the Lares lost 86-92 to Morovis (#1, 2-0). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. Lares can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Woodard has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (6th best).

9. Naomi Davenport (180-G/F) of Isabela - 26 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Dayshalee Salaman (163-PG-1990) of Santurce - 11 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists
