Wilson's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

American Forward DeAnna Wilson (188-F) had a great game in the last week for Pollitas de Isabela and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 9.
She had a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds, while her team beat San German (#8, 2-6) 68-57. Pollitas maintains the 5th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Isabela is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. Wilson turned to be Pollitas's top player in her first season with the team. Illinois State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Wilson is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 11.3rpg).

Second best performed player last week was Akilah Bethel (183-F-1993) of Athleticas de San German. She is American forward in her first season at San German. In the last game Bethel recorded an impressive double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Athleticas lost that game 57-68 to the higher-ranked Isabela (#5, 4-4). San German managed to keep the same 8th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Athleticas managed to get this year. Bethel is a newcomer at San German and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kaela Hilaire (157-PG-1998) of Atenienses de Manati (#3). Hilaire showcased her all-around game by recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists in the last week. Despite Hilaire's great performance the Atenienses lost 70-78 to the lower-ranked Lares (#6, 3-5). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Manati needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Hilaire has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 11.1apg (best passer). She also has a FGP of 54.5% and 3PT: 43.8%.
