BSNF Round 10 (Regular Season): Moca defeat Manati in the closest game of the week

Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game of round 10 in the BSNF took place in Moca. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Atenienses (6-4) to seventh ranked Moca (5-4) 83-81 on Friday evening. American forward Asia Taylor (188-1991, college: Louisville) had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Alexis Jennings (190-1996, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 28 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international forward India Pagan (185-1999, college: Stony Brook) responded with 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Moca moved-up to fifth place. Manati lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Morovis. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
Bottom-ranked Athleticas managed to get a third victory, breaking the four-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Athleticas won against seventh-ranked Lares in San German 83-79. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Akilah Bethel (183-1993, college: LSU) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Sidney Cooks supported her with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Even 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Juicy Landrum (173-1997, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Lares. Lares' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. San German (3-6) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Lares. San German will play against league's leader Santurce on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lares will play against Carolina (#4) and hope to get back on the winning track.
Third ranked Atenienses (6-4) crushed at home 5th ranked Pollitas (4-6) by 27 points 106-79, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. DreUna Edwards fired 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) for the winners. DeAnna Wilson produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (made all of her ten free throws !!!) for lost side. Pollitas' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Manati moved-up to second place, which they share with Morovis. Isabela at the other side dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.

In the last game of round 10 Carolina won against Hatillo on the opponent's court 78-73.

Hatillo - Carolina 73-78

Very expected game when 9th ranked Hatillo (1-7) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Gigantes (5-3) 78-73 on Friday. Carolina made 26-of-28 free shots (92.9 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Carolina made 7 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (made all of her fourteen free throws !!!) for the winners. Guard Kiara Leslie (183-1995, college: NC State) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Adrienne Williams (180-1991, college: Illinois) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and guard Kristen Spolyar (178-1997, college: Butler) added 27 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 5-3 record. Hatillo lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Carolina will meet at home Lares (#8) in the next round. Hatillo will play against the league's leader Santurce and hope to win that game.

Manati dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Pollitas's 22. Manati outrebounded Isabela 41-29 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Manati looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Forward DreUna Edwards (183, college: Baylor) fired 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 16-of-21 shooting from the field) for the winners.
