However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was American forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Her fellow American import guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St.) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Cangrejeras' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Danish swingman Okako Adika (183-1996, college: USC) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the hosts. Undefeated Cangrejeras have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Santurce maintains first place with 9-0 record. Hatillo at the other side stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Santurce are looking forward to face Carolina (#4) at home in the next round. Santurce maintains first place with 9-0 record. Newly promoted San German dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Santurce will play against Carolina (#4) at home in the next round. San German will play against Moca (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
An interesting game where Lares (#8) won against host Carolina (#4) 78-73 on Monday evening. It was a great evening for Tess Amundsen who led her team to a victory scoring 24 points. Charity Harris responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists. Lares (4-6) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Isabela. Defending champion Carolina keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Moca. Lares will meet league's second-placed Manati on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Carolina will play against the league's leader Santurce and hope to secure a win.
