Cangrejeras shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American center Akela Maize (196-1996, college: NC State) fired 21 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) chipped in 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Leigha Brown (185-2000, college: Michigan) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Hillary Martinez added 24 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Gigantes forced 22 Hatillo turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Teana Muldrow (188-1995, college: WVU) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Charity Harris (163-1991, college: Bluefield St.) contributed with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The former international center Sofia Roma (188-1996, college: Duke) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Adrienne Williams (180-1991, college: Illinois) added 11 points, 7 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Hatillo. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
