Puerto Rico have won their fourth consecutive CentroBasket title. They overcame Dominican Republic 95-81 in the Final game.
Puerto Rico opened the game with a massive 31-13 run and never looked behind. They added narrow 26-24 and 22-19 wins in the second and the fourth quarters, whilst Dominican Republic secured win only in the third period.
Arella Guirantes (181-SG-1997, college: Rutgers) dominated the court with 40 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Brianna Jones (177-G-1997, college: Georgetown) netted 18, whilst Tayra Melendez (183-G-1993, college: URI) produced 10. Cesarina Capellan (178-SF-2003) replied with 26 points and Yohanna Morton (172-G-1987, college: RMU) as well as Esmery Martinez (188-F-2000, college: Arizona) had 16 each.
