Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (D1) tabbed 33-year old American 185cm forward Shae Kelley (college: Minnesota). It is actually her comeback to Rishon Le-Zion as she has played here before. Kelley played this summer at Cangrejeras de Santurce in Puerto Rican BSNF. In 27 games just recently she averaged impressive 16.3ppg, 10.4rpg (#4 in the league), 2.4apg and 2.2spg (in top 4). She helped them to win the BSNF title. The last season she played at Al Ahli in Saudi Arabian league where in 7 games she had very remarkable stats: 16.3ppg, 10.6rpg and 3.3apg.
In 2015 she was drafted by Minnesota Lynx (WNBA) in third round (35th overall).
The former University of Minnesota star is in her tenth season in pro basketball.
Kelley is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball she experienced life in nine different countries playing on five different continents. She is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American, African and of course North American leagues. Kelley has played previously professionally in France (Charleville-Mezieres), Italy (San Martino), Poland (Torun), Romania (ASC Sepsi SIC Sfantu Gheorghe), Spain (Ferrol), Turkey (Bornova), Israel (Ramat Hasharon and Elitzur Holon), Puerto Rico (Montaneras and Atenienses) and Egypt (Al Ahly and Somouha). She was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Forward of the Year back in 2019 and 2021. Kelley played for other colleges like: Old Dominion University, University of Colorado.
