Puerto Rico made changes to their roster

The Puerto Rican Basketball Federation announced that Tjader Fernandez (178-PG-1994) and Ivan Gandia-Rosa (185-PG-1997, college: UNF, agency: Octagon Europe) enter the national team roster, replacing Tremont Waters and Ethan Thompson.

Waters exits the roster due to injury during a training session. Thompson just signed a two-way contract with the Orlando Magic.

Both Gandia and Fernandez have prior experience with the national team. Gandia currently plays for Capitanes CDMX and Fernandez is training with San German for the BSN season.

Puerto Rico plays the United States on February 20 and Cuba on February 23. They need one win to qualify for the AmeriCup. Both games will be played in San Juan.
