Goldfields Giants (NBL One) signed 32-year old American guard Nicolette Gilday (175cm-1992, college: Santa Clara) for upcoming 2025 season. Gilday played last summer at Atenienses de Manati in Puerto Rican BSNF. In 19 games she had 14.2ppg, 2.1rpg and 4.8apg. The last season she played at Beroe in Bulgarian NBL where in 22 games she was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 17.0ppg and averaged 4.7rpg, 3.6apg and 1.5spg. She helped them to win the Bulgarian League title and they also made it to the Cup final. 2023-24 was a great season as she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Finals MVP.
Gilday is quite experienced player. She has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Latin America, Australia and of course North America). Gilday has played previously professionally in Greece (Esperides, AO Eleutheria Moshatou and Proteas), Latvia (TTT Riga), Romania (Alba Iulia), Spain (Granada), Sweden (Visby), Switzerland (Winterthur), Puerto Rico (Gigantes), Australia (Hawks and Magic) and GWBA (Surge).
She graduated from Santa Clara University in 2015 and it will be her eleventh season as a professional player.
