Romero number one in Puerto Rico BSN for week 2

Naturalized Cuban Center Ismael Romero (205-C-1991) put on an amazing game in the last week for top-ranked Mets de Guaynabo, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 2.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Manati (#4, 1-1) 105-99. It allowed Mets to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSN. The season is still on an early stage, but Guaynabo already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Romero had a remarkable 73.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Mets, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ismael Romero has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 20.0ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 13.3rpg) and averages impressive 72.2% FGP.

The second best player in last week's games was young Mali Cheick Diallo (206-C/F-1996) of Osos de Manati. Diallo had a very good evening with a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Osos lost that game 99-105 to Guaynabo (3-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next week. Diallo is one of the most experienced players at Manati and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 15.0rpg and 4.0apg.

Third on the list of top players last week was American forward Kristian Doolittle (201-F-1997, agency: Pensack Sports) of Gigantes de Carolina (#5). Doolittle scored 28 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Despite Doolittle's great performance the Gigantes lost 89-106 to San German (#4, 1-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Carolina can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Doolittle has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.0ppg (7th best).

9. Samuel Waardenburg (208-F-1999) of Mayaguez - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Jonathan Rodriguez (196-SF-1987) of Arecibo - 16 points and 9 rebounds
