Anisha George (ex Proteas) agreed terms with Isabela

Anisha George

Pollitas de Isabela (BSNF) signed 27-year-old U.S. Virgin Islands international 188cm center Anisha George (college: N.Texas). She has played for the last two years at Proteas in Greek A1 league. In 26 games, she recorded very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 8.9rpg, 1.4apg, 1.3spg, and 1.1bpg last season. She helped them to make it to the semifinals. A great season indeed as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Greek A1 Second Team. George also played 6 games in Eurocup where she averaged 14.5ppg, 8.2rpg, 1.3spg, and 1.0bpg.
She represented the U.S. Virgin Islands at the FIBA Centrobasket Women's Championship in Irapuato (Mexico) last year. George was the best scorer at the event with 17.2 points per game, while she added 10.4 rebounds per game.
She is a very experienced player. George has also played professionally in Romania (Brasov), Spain (Domusa Teknik ISB), and Switzerland (Helios).
Among many awards, she played in the final of WBIT in 2019. She was selected to the C-USA All-Defensive Team back in 2019.
George graduated from the University of North Texas in 2020 and it will be her sixth season in pro basketball. She played also for Moberly Area Community College for 3 years.
