Jacqueline Benitez signs at Caguas

BSNF newcomer Criollas de Caguas signed 28-year-old Puerto Rican-American international guard Jacqueline Benitez, who stands at 178cm and played college basketball at JMU. In 2024, she last played for Atenienses de Manati in the Puerto Rican BSNF. She took a break from professional basketball for one year and missed last season.
She also represented Puerto Rico at the FIBA Centrobasket Women's Championship in Irapuato (Mexico) last year. Her team won Gold and she averaged over 7 ppg.
Benitez has played professionally in Lithuania (Siauliai) as well.
Between 2019 and 2023, her team achieved many awards, including making it to the BSNF Semifinals. She was honored with the All-CAA Sixth Player of the Year award in 2019.
Benitez graduated from James Madison University in 2020 and it'll be her sixth season in pro basketball. She played also for Siena College for 3 years.
