Muldrow's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

30-year old American forward Teana Muldrow (188-F-1995) put on an amazing game in the last week for Gigantes de Carolina and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 2.
She had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, while her team beat Isabela (#1, 2-1) 71-66. Thanks to this victory Gigantes moved-up to the 8th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Carolina is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Muldrow had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be Gigantes's top player in her first season with the team. West Virginia University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Muldrow is in league's top in rebounds (7th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 55.6% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last week was Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) of Cangrejeras de Santurce. She is American forward in her first season at Santurce. In the last game Kelley recorded an impressive 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Cangrejeras lost that game 67-76 to Yauco (1-2). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next week. Kelley is a newcomer at Santurce and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.0ppg (#8). Her other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 4.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Quionche Carter (183-G/F) of league's leader Pollitas de Isabela. Carter showcased her all-around game by recording 22 points, 12 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last week. Despite Carter's great performance the Pollitas lost 66-71 to Carolina (#8, 1-1). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Isabela needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Carter has a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.7ppg (4th best), rebounds with 11.7rpg (3rd best) and assists with 5.7apg (7th best).
