McGee-Stafford's 25 points and 9 rebounds give her Player of the Week award

31-year old American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-C-1994) had an amazing evening in the last week for Monarcas Juana Diaz and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 6.
She had the game-high 25 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Monarcas in her team's victory, helping them to edge out Caguas (#9, 1-3) 75-73. Monarcas is placed at 6th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Monarcas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game McGee-Stafford had a remarkable 57.9% from 2-point range. She turned to be Monarcas' top player in her first season with the team.

Second best performed player last week was Quionche Carter (183-G/F) of league's second-best Pollitas de Isabela. She is American swingman in her first season at Isabela. In the last game Carter recorded an impressive 23 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Pollitas lost that game 73-79 to slightly higher-ranked Santurce (#1, 4-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Isabela still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. Her team's 4-2 record is not bad at all. Carter is a newcomer at Isabela and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.3ppg (#1). Her other stats are also decent: 8.3rpg and 5.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Kaela Hilaire (157-PG-1998) of Atenienses de Manati (#8). Hilaire scored 23 points and passed 10 assists (!!!). She was a key player of Atenienses, leading her team to a 67-52 easy win against the higher-ranked Hatillo (#4, 2-2). The chances of Manati not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Hilaire could try to bring Manati's a little bit higher in the standings. Hilaire has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After only 3 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 7.7apg (2nd best).
