Matos comes back to Costa Caribe, ex Mayaguez

Costa Caribe Managua (LSB) strengthened their roster with the addition of 33-year-old Puerto Rican guard Jorge Matos (185cm-1992). It is actually his comeback to Managua as he has played here before. He played this summer at Indios de Mayaguez in the Puerto Rican BSN league. In 33 games just recently, he recorded only 2.4ppg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals.
Matos has played also in Panama (Panteras), Puerto Rico (Atleticos, Cariduros, Santeros, Cangrejeros and Criollos) and Nicaragua (Leones).
Among many awards, he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSB Honorable Mention in 2020.
