McGee-Stafford number one in Puerto Rico BSNF for week 13

American Center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-C-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last week for Monarcas Juana Diaz, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 13.
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 19 rebounds, while her team beat Caguas (#7, 5-6) 91-85. Monarcas maintains the 5th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Monarcas is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. In the team's last game McGee-Stafford had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Monarcas' top player in her first season with the team. Imani McGee-Stafford averages this season 25.2ppg, 17.8rpg and 4.3apg.

The second best player in last week's games was young American Asia Taylor (188-F-1991) of Criollas de Caguas. Taylor had a very good evening with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Caguas lost that game 85-91 to slightly higher-ranked Monarcas (#5, 6-6). This loss caused Caguas to drop to 7th position in the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 5-6 record. Taylor is a newcomer at Caguas, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last week was American guard Kiyana McGill-Jefferson (185-G-2001) of Atenienses de Manati (#8). McGill-Jefferson scored 28 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. She was a key player of Atenienses, leading her team to a 87-75 win against slightly lower-ranked Yauco (#10, 3-8). The chances of Manati ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, McGill-Jefferson could help Manati to bring them higher in the standings. McGill-Jefferson has a very solid season. In 10 games in Puerto Rico she scored 11.6ppg.

10. Amanda Paschal (172-G-1996) of Caguas - 9 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
