Okako Adika gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSNF (by Hoops Agents)

Danish Okako Adika (183-G/F-1996) had a great game in the last week for Ganaderas de Hatillo and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 14.
The 29-year old swingman had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while her team edged out Leonas (#9, 4-8) 73-69. Hatillo is placed at 7th position in Puerto Rican BSNF. Hatillo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-6 record. In the team's last game Adika had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. It's her second year at Hatillo and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Okako Adika averages this season 13.4ppg and 7.2rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-C-1994) of Monarcas Juana Diaz. McGee-Stafford impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 17 points and 19 rebounds. It was enough for Monarcas to edge the higher-ranked Moca (#2, 8-4) by 5 points 58-53. Monarcas' 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 6-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. McGee-Stafford is a newcomer at Monarcas and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last week was American Talia von Oelhoffen (180-G-2002, agency: Next Page Sports) of Leonas de Ponce (#9). von Oelhoffen showcased her all-around game by recording 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the last week. Despite von Oelhoffen's great performance the Leonas lost 69-73 to slightly higher-ranked Hatillo (#7, 5-6). But her team cannot count on just a single shooter as she also needs help of the other teammates. von Oelhoffen has individually a great season in Puerto Rico. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (2nd best) and assists with 7.6apg (best passer).
