BSNF Round 15 (Regular Season): Isabela rolls over Caguas by 19 points

Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The game between third ranked Pollitas (8-4) and 8th ranked Caguas (5-7) in Isabela on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Pollitas outscored guests from Caguas 89-70. Isabela looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for the former international swingman Kaelynn Satterfield (183-2001, college: Seton Hall) who led her team to a victory with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Lasha Petree (183, college: Purdue) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) answered with 12 points and 8 rebounds for Caguas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pollitas have a solid series of three victories in a row. Isabela moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Caguas keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Isabela are looking forward to face Moca (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Caguas will play against the league's leader Santurce (#1) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.

In the last game of round 15 bottom-ranked Yauco was beaten by Leonas on the road 86-79.
The most impressive performance of 15th round was 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by Dariauna Lewis of Leonas.

Leonas - Yauco 86-79

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Leonas' (4-9) home victory over bottom-ranked Yauco (3-9) in Ponce 86-79 on Friday. It was a great shooting night for Leonas especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Dariauna Lewis (185-2000, college: Syracuse) who led her team to a victory with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Sierra Calhoun (183-1996, college: Rutgers) answered with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Sidney Cooks (193-1998, college: Seton Hall) added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Yauco. Four Leonas and five Yauco players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Leonas maintains ninth place with 4-9 record. Yauco lost sixth consecutive game. Yauco at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Leonas are looking forward to face higher ranked Manati (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yauco will play against Hatillo (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
