Isabela looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and U.S. Virgin Islands center Anisha George (188-1998, college: N.Texas) who added 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Salvadorean Hillary Martinez (172-1997) responded with a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Pollitas have a solid three-game winning streak. Isabela moved-up to second place. Moca lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the third position with five games lost. Isabela are looking forward to face Manati (#5) at home in the next round. Moca will play against Monarcas in Juana Diaz and is hoping to win this game.
BSNF top team - Cangrejeras (10-3) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Caguas (5-8) 75-67. Americans were the main players on the court. The winners were led by forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists and Oshlynn Brown supported her with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Amanda Paschal (172-1996, college: Kentucky) did not help to save the game for Caguas. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cangrejeras have an impressive six-game winning streak.
