Leones ALMA de Managua (LSB) inked 28-year old Puerto Rican 183cm point guard Luis Gonzalez (college: PR-Bayamon). It is actually his comeback to Managua as he has played here before. Gonzalez played this summer at Leones de Ponce in Puerto Rican BSN league. But in 13 games just recently he averaged only 0.8ppg. He helped them to make it to the Puerto Rican League final.
Gonzalez was a member of Puerto Rican U16 National Team in 2013.
He has played also professionally for other Puerto Rican teams like Atleticos and Indios.
Among many awards he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSB Honorable Mention back in 2022.
Gonzalez graduated from University of Puerto Rico Bayamon in 2020 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.
