Shae Kelley gets MVP of the Week award for Puerto Rican BSNF

Experienced American Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) put on an amazing game in the last week for league's leader Cangrejeras de Santurce and that's her to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 17.
The 34-year old forward had a double-double of 25 points and 10 rebounds, while her team beat Leonas (#9, 4-10) 78-69. It allowed Cangrejeras to consolidate first place in the Puerto Rican BSNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Santurce has a very solid 11-3 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. Kelley turned to be Cangrejeras's top player in her first season with the team. Shae Kelley averages this season 16.4ppg and 8.3rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last week's games was young American forward Teana Muldrow (188-F-1995) of Gigantes de Carolina. Muldrow impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Gigantes to edge slightly lower-ranked Hatillo (#6, 6-7) by 5 points 57-52. Carolina's 5th position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost some distance to top teams. But a 8-6 record is not bad and everything may still change. Muldrow is a newcomer at Carolina and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.3ppg (#9). She also registered 9.8 boards per game.

The third best performed player last week was Salvadorean Hillary Martinez (172-SF-1997) of second-ranked Explosivos de Moca. Martinez showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in the last week. She was a key player of Moca, leading her team to a 73-51 easy win against the lower-ranked Monarcas (#7, 6-8). Moca needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 5 lost games. Martinez has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.6apg (3rd best).

9. Oshlynn Brown (185-F) of Santurce - 14 points and 9 rebounds
10. Chelsea Mitchell (175-G-1997) of Manati - 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
