Third-ranked Pollitas (9-6) made lots of trouble for first ranked Cangrejeras (13-3) in Santurce on Tuesday. Cangrejeras managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected easier game. It was a great shooting night for Santurce especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St.) who scored 26 points. Forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) chipped in 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Cangrejeras' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Cangrejeras have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-3 record. Isabela at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. Santurce are looking forward to face league's second-placed Moca at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Isabela will play against Monarcas in Juana Diaz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Leonas lost third consecutive game. Leonas at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the ninth position with 11 games lost. Monarcas will play against higher ranked Isabela (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leonas will play against Caguas (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
