The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Cangrejeras (13-4) on the court of second ranked Moca on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by Moca 80-68. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Cangrejeras. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Moca looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American guard Leigha Brown (185-2000, college: Michigan) who led her team to a victory with 26 points and 5 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Dayshalee Salaman (163-1990, college: LMU) answered with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for Santurce. Moca have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-5 record behind leader Santurce. Defending champion Santurce still keeps top position with four games lost. Caguas beat guests from Ponce 84-69. stepped up and scored 31 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and Jacqueline Benitez chipped in 21 points. Caguas' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Caguas moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Hatillo. Leonas lost fourth consecutive game.
