Brown's 26 points and 5 assists give her Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

25-year old American guard Leigha Brown (185-G-2000) had an amazing evening in the last week for second-ranked Explosivos de Moca and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 21.
She had the game-high 26 points adding four rebounds and five assists for Moca in her team's victory, helping them to beat Santurce (#1, 13-4) 80-68. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Moca maintains the 2nd position in Puerto Rican BSNF. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Moca will need more victories to improve their 12-5 record. In the team's last game Brown had a remarkable 90.0% from 2-point range. She turned to be Moca's top player in her first season with the team. University of Michigan graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 4.9rpg).

Second best performed player last week was Asia Taylor (188-F-1991) of Criollas de Caguas. She is American forward in her first season at Caguas. In the last game Taylor recorded an impressive 31 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Caguas to another comfortable win 84-69 over slightly lower-ranked Leonas (#9, 4-12) being unquestionably team leader. Caguas' 8th position in the standings has not changed. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-9 record. Taylor is a newcomer at Caguas and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Shae Kelley (185-F-1991) of league's leader Cangrejeras de Santurce. Kelley scored 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Despite Kelley's great performance the Cangrejeras lost 68-80 to #2 ranked Moca. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Santurce needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 13 victories and 4 lost games. Kelley has a very solid season. In 17 games in Puerto Rico she scored 15.8ppg. She also has 8.3rpg, 3.4apg, 1.2bpg and a FGP of 58.3%.

10. Ariel Colon (178-G) of Leonas - 19 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists
