However their fans expected much easier game. Santurce forced 19 Monarcas turnovers. American forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Brianna Jones (177-1997, college: Georgetown) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Cangrejeras' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American center Imani McGee-Stafford (201-1994, college: Texas) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-4 record. Newly promoted Monarcas dropped to the eighth place with 11 games lost. Very important is a road loss of third ranked Atenienses (10-7) against fourth ranked Pollitas (11-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Atenienses were defeated by Pollitas in a tough game in Isabela 59-65. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Atenienses. American swingman Quionche Carter (183, college: FGCU) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Lasha Petree supported her with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Even 16 points and 8 assists by the former international point guard Pamela Rosado (165-1986) did not help to save the game for Manati. Isabela moved-up to third place. Manati at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Isabela will play against Hatillo (#7) in the next round. Manati will have a break next round.
