Diego Gonzalez (ex Santos) joins Centre de Reference de Basketball de Tombouctou

The defending champion Centre de Reference de Basketball de Tombouctou (Ligue 1) agreed terms with 24-year-old Puerto Rican guard Diego Gonzalez (185cm-86kg-2001, college: St.Mary's, TX). He played this summer at Santos in Mexican LNBP. In 8 games just recently, he had 8.0ppg, 1.6rpg, and 2.6apg.
He just graduated from Saint Mary's University, Texas (0.9ppg, 0.8rpg, 0.5apg, 0.5spg) and it will be his second season as a pro. His team was regular season runner-up in LSC East Division in 2025. Gonzalez played also for McLennan Community College for 2 years.
